Leadership

Vernon Naron
Pastor
I couldn’t be more excited to get started at New Song. It’s a privilege to live and serve here.
Prior to taking the pastor role in January 2026, I worked in financial planning and estate planning before attending Denver Seminary, and in seminary, I worked at a church in downtown Denver overseeing prayer, outreach, and men’s ministry.
I’m passionate about seeing the lost reached with the hope of the gospel, and seeing us as His children walk into the fullness of Christ’s character.
I hope to meet you on an upcoming Sunday. Or send me an email and let’s get together. Blessings!

Lindsey Osterfelt
Worship & Young Adults
Hey! My name is Lindsey Osterfelt, and I look forward to meeting you!
Living in Gunnison for nearly 6 years now, I love authentic community, and I’m eager to help others grow in confidence, faith in Jesus, and resilience. Through roles like the President of the Athletic Student Body at Western, a heptathlete in NCAA Track and Field, and full-time work in healthcare, I’ve learned to rely on God’s strength more than my own.
No matter the season, my goal is simple: to walk in obedience to God, lead with integrity in every area of life, and let my life point back to the goodness, faithfulness, and love of Jesus. Let’s grow in our love for Christ together!

Laurae
Community Center Director
I am an 8 year Gunni local mom with 4 kiddos who is passionate about Jesus, homesteading, and supporting our peers.
I have spent 10+ years focused on being a light in dark places and using my lived experience to support individuals and families struggling through areas of crisis, such as teen pregnancy, domestic violence, loss, and system navigation.
I love supporting our local peers, navigators, and advocates who vulnerably pour out their hearts to help others. As the Founder of Guiding Lights, I have been working on a project for the past couple of years to better fill gaps in Gunnison and create a safe space for peers to give and receive hope, empowerment, and support.
I am honored to be partnered with New Song as the Director of the New Song Community Center, and I am excited to see you there at one of our many upcoming events and groups 🙂

Beliefs
Unity in Essentials
1. We believe there is one God who has chosen to reveal Himself to us as Father, Son (Jesus the Messiah), and Holy Spirit.
2. We believe there is only one way to salvation through the saving work of Jesus’ death and resurrection. When we turn from our sin and believe in Jesus as Lord, we are saved.
3. We believe the Bible is the Word of God and is rightly applied to our lives by the power and working of the Holy Spirit.
Liberty in Non-Essentials
There are a number of non-essentials in the church such as the type of music we use in worship, the way we dress on Sunday morning, the version of the Bible we read, and interpretations of end times, among other things.
In all these things we seek to have a Biblical understanding and practice. We also allow others to express their faith in God, in alignment with the essentials listed above, in a God-honoring and Biblical way without judgment.
In All Things Charity
What does this mean? It means we seek to practice our faith as followers of Jesus with love. We want to love others even if we disagree with them. We want everyone to know the love of God and demonstrate His love in tangible ways. We want to love God in everything and love our neighbors the way God loves us.
